IGT has expanded its presence in Mississippi with the launch of a new retail sportsbook for Island View Casino Resort.
The multi-year deal sees IGT PlaySports replace the casino’s previous retail sportsbook that was powered by GAN (now part of Sega Sammy Creation).
Customers at the Island View Casino, which also includes the non-smoking Beach View Casino, will now able to place a variety of sports wagers at the Bet the V Sportsbook, with 20 self-service betting kiosks located throughout both casinos.
“This launch with IGT PlaySports propels our ongoing initiative to enhance the sports betting experiences for our patrons,” said Island View Casino Resort sportsbook manager Peter Smith. “IGT PlaySports’ proven technology and experienced trading advisory team will engage patrons in more meaningful ways, while the reliability of the platform will help drive value across our properties.”
The upgrade to Island View Casino’s sports wagering infrastructure extends IGT’s footprint in Mississippi, where the company supplies its sports betting technology to the likes of Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel, Palace Casino Resort and IP Casino Resort Spa.
