English rugby union club Gloucester Rugby has selected The Betting Service Limited (TBS) as its official betting partner, launching its own bespoke online betting website as part of the agreement.
Powered by Bet Butler, Gloucester Rugby has launched the new website through TBS’ MyClubBetting brand under Gloucesterrfc.myclubbetting.co.uk.
The website features club colours, logos and social media links to integrate with the club’s existing websites. It offers customers odds on various sports including football, horse racing and tennis, and also links to Bet Butler’s online casino.
Gloucester Rugby’s commercial manager Mike Turner said that the partnership would benefit local rugby projects.
“We’ve spoken to a number of potential betting partners, and are pleased to announce the relationship with The Betting Service through the MyClubBetting.com brand,” he said. “We believe it’s a great solution for supporters who like to bet online and the beauty of it is that the club receives a percentage of the profits, which we can reinvest into our Club and Community projects.”
The deal continues TBS’ recent expansion into rugby, after MyClubBetting’s served as the official betting and gaming partner for the Rugby League World Cup last year.
“TBS, through the brand MyClubBetting.com, promotes both professional and grassroots sport by facilitating any club to generate a revenue stream at zero cost to the club,” said TBS chief executive Marcus Barrett. “We are proud to become Gloucester Rugby’s Official Betting Partner.
“The Cherry and Whites are synonymous with excellence and it is great that they are the first Rugby Union club to take advantage of our service, so dovetailing with such a dynamic and forward-thinking club makes perfect sense for us.”
Formed in 1873, Gloucester Rugby plays in the domestic Aviva Premiership, and also takes part in the Anglo-Welsh LV=Cup and the European Rugby Cup competitions. The club plays its home games at the 16,500 capacity Kingsholm Stadium.
