It’s been a topsy-turvy, rollercoaster ride of a year for the online gambling industry. And that is reflected quite aptly (we think) in our selection of the year’s ultimate Winners and Losers.

It is heartening that at least two of our Losers (Ladbrokes and Full Tilt) could become Winners next year if their hype and hope is to be believed. And why not feel optimistic for them? ‘Tis the season to be jolly...

There is a nice symmetry then in the fact that two of our 2011 Winners (PokerStars and William Hill Online) could well be Losers in 2012 if the stars are less than perfectly aligned.
