Legislation has been introduced in the US state of California to legalise sports betting on professional and collegiate events.
The proposed legislation was introduced Thursday by California Senator Roderick Wright and is similar to Senate Bill 1390, which was approved last year by a vote of 33-2 in the Senate before stalling in the Assembly.
