Online betting and gaming operator Betway has signed its first sponsorship deal in Italy as a premium partner of Serie A football club AS Roma.

The deal will see the operator’s logo feature on the Giallorossi’s training kit through to the 2020-21 season, with Betway also benefiting from branding on training ground signage, in-stadium LEDs and via the club’s digital channels.

It marks the operator’s first move into the Italian football sponsorship market, having made a significant push in the Spanish market already this year through deals with La Liga clubs Levante UD, CD Leganés and Deportivo Alavés.

“We’re very excited to be partnering with a great club like AS Roma, in what is our first partnership in Italian football,” said Betway managing director Anthony Werkman. “Roma have a huge fanbase and we hope this three-year deal will give us some great exposure over the course of the next few seasons.”
