Austrian Lotteries has launched a new live casino studio in partnership with Pragmatic Play, creating up to 150 new employment opportunities.
Based in Vienna, the new studio expands the online offering of win2day, the iGaming arm of Austrian Lotteries, with a range of live online blackjack, roulette and game shows titles around the clock, including the first German-language game show, Crazy Prater Rad.
The 400 square meter studio has created 80 new jobs, with this number expected to rise to 150 full-time positions in the long term.
“As a leading Austrian company, a responsible business, and a top employer, we are an important partner for Austria, especially in the gaming and entertainment sectors, but also beyond,” said Austrian Lotteries director general Erwin van Lambaart. “With the win2day online casino studio, we are continuing this path.
“Effective immediately, we offer a diverse range of services designed by ourselves, creating a safe environment for our players and additional jobs in Vienna.”
win2day managing director Georg Wawer commented: “With our pioneering win2day online casino, which we have implemented in close collaboration with Pragmatic Play, and our responsible live casino games offering, we are setting new standards.
“This further expands our market position in Austria and consistently differentiates us from existing illegal offerings.
“Through professional frameworks and the use of AI, which we use for our Lottery Health Check on win2day, for example, we guarantee a safer gaming environment that offers players the highest level of professionalism in game processing while simultaneously enabling an exciting experience.”
Pragmatic Play rolled out its online slots portfolio with win2day in May 2023.
