Growthfund, the National Fund of Greece, has launched a tender process to select the next state lottery operator.
The two-stage tender process aims to award the next Greek State Lotteries concession for a period of at least ten years.
The concession gives the holder the exclusive right to offer instant lotteries, the State Housing Lottery, the Special Social National Lottery, the Popular Lottery, the National Lottery, and the Extraordinary or Special Lottery drawn by the European Association of State Lotteries.
The tender process launched last week with a call for expressions of interest which closes on 23 July. After analysing the expressions of interest, applicants that meet the prequalification criteria will be invited to proceed to stage two of the process, the request for binding offers.
The concession agreement will be executed by the Minister of National Economy and Finance.
Hellenic Lotteries, a division of OPAP, holds the current lottery concession in Greece.
