Scientific Games has completed a system-wide technology conversion for Lotto New Zealand, modernizing digital and retail operations across 1,100 lottery retailers.

Delivered through the company’s Momentum ecosystem, the technology overhaul includes Scientific Games’ central gaming system, retail point-of-sale terminals, and SG PAM player account management system.

Scientific Games has also integrated its SG Content Hub, offering Lotto New Zealand a portfolio of digital games from SG Studios and other partner studios.

The switchover from Lotto New Zealand’s legacy IGT systems involved multiple database migrations and third-party system integrations.

“We’ve modernized our digital and retail platforms, together with the way we’re delivering game entertainment,” said Lotto New Zealand CEO Jason Delamore. “This sets the stage for more transformation and exceptional player experiences for years to come.

“On behalf of our players and retailers, and most importantly good cause beneficiaries throughout New Zealand, we are excited to be well-positioned for the future. Scientific Games’ collaboration with our teams throughout this enormous undertaking has made our tech upgrade a win for our customers, our retailers and NZ Inc through our important community contributions.”

Scientific Games CEO Patrick McHugh said, “We commend Lotto New Zealand’s leadership and teams for their future-forward vision and thank all our Scientific Games technologists and project team members around the globe who worked diligently to plan and execute this systems conversion.

“The technology upgrade for Lotto New Zealand was truly a global effort and inspiring for the many projects currently underway for Scientific Games lottery customers around the world.”
