Lottery supplier will continue to provide its lottery technology and services to the New York Lottery and Spanish operator ONCE

Brightstar Lottery has secured multi-year contract extensions this week with the New York Lottery and Spain’s Organización Nacional de Ciegos Espanoles (ONCE).

Through subsidiary Brightstar Global Solutions Corp., the company will continue to support ONCE’s lottery operations in Spain through software enhancements and the continuing evolution of its central gaming system.

Brightstar has served as ONCE’s lottery technology supplier since 2002.

“ONCE is pleased to extend our long and successful relationship with Brightstar,” said Virginia Castellano, ONCE’s deputy director general for organization, talent and resources. “Brightstar is the right partner to help us continue evolving our lottery operations, reinforcing our commitment to safe, responsible lotteries with a social purpose, and enabling us to fund a wide range of social programs and services to support people with severe visual impairments and people with other disabilities in Spain.”

Marco Tasso, Brightstar executive vice president and chief operating officer of global lottery, commented: “ONCE is world renowned for its commitment to improving the social and professional inclusion of people with disabilities and Brightstar is honored to serve their lottery operations to support this important work. We look forward to continue providing ONCE with leading technology solutions for its lottery system.”

Brightstar has also signed a two-year contract extension with the New York State Gaming Commission to continue providing lottery technology and services to the New York Lottery.

“Brightstar is dedicated to continue fulfilling our contractual obligations through this two-year contract extension and supporting the New York Lottery’s successful track record serving New York public schools,” said Scott Gunn, Brightstar chief operating officer for North America Lottery.
