London-listed casino and bingo operator Rank Group has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Jenny Blogg as chief commercial officer.

Blogg takes up her role on 16 March, having most recently served as operations director at UK National Lottery operator Allwyn, leading the team through a significant period of transformation over the past two years.

She has more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience across retail, food and gambling sectors, having also worked for the likes of Camelot, Mondelez, Cadbury, Danone Group, United Biscuits, and Dixons Stores Group.

Andrew Peat, managing director of Rank’s UK-facing digital business, Rank Interactive, and Liam Wallwork, chief product officer, will report into Blogg.

As chief commercial officer, Blogg will also have responsibility for driving the cross-channel customer experience across Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos.

She will also join the company’s Executive Committee and report into Rank’s interim CEO Richard Harris.

“Jenny is an outstanding leader and brings significant corporate experience in delivering successful results in high profile organisations,” said Harris. “She joins us at an exciting time as we focus on delivering operating profit for the group of at least £100m in the medium term. With her commercial expertise, I am confident she will be a great addition to our strong executive team and I look forward to welcoming her to Rank next month.”

Commenting on her appointment, Blogg said: “The opportunity to join Rank at this stage of the growth story has been irresistible. With strong brands and clear levers to drive growth across the group, I am confident that my track record of delivering results will fit extremely well with the ambitions that Richard has outlined.”

Shares in Rank Group plc (LSE:RNK) were trading 1.38 per cent lower at 93.10 pence per share in London earlier Tuesday.
