Immense Group is preparing for a move into Finland’s regulated iGaming market next year with the appointment of Bojoko co-founder Joonas Karhu as managing director.
Reinforcing the group’s Nordic leadership team, Karhu returns to the group after serving as Finland country manager nearly ten years ago.
He left Immense Group (then Videoslots) in 2017 to co-found iGaming affiliate Bojoko, initially serving as chief business officer before becoming CEO, before its sale to North Star Network in early 2025.
Based in Helsinki, Karhu will lead the company’s preparation work ahead of Finland’s forthcoming licensing framework, supporting Immense Group’s long-term strategic planning in the market.
“I’m pleased to be returning to Immense Group at an important point in its development,” said Karhu. “The group has built a strong portfolio of brands and a clear position in regulated markets. Finland offers meaningful long-term potential, and my focus will be on building strong partnerships, strengthening our local presence and supporting sustainable growth. I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and engaging with partners across the industry.”
Over the past six months, Immense Group has continued to consolidate its multi-brand structure while strengthening its regional leadership and reinforcing the presence of brands including DBET, Mr Vegas, Videoslots, Kungaslottet and Mega Riches in regulated European markets.
