Caesars Entertainment has signed a new long-term agreement to continue to operate the Windsor casino in Ontario, Canada.

The new agreement between the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and Caesars Entertainment Windsor will see Caesars continue to manage day-to-day operations of the Windsor casino for a near 20-year period.

Caesars was selected to continue operating the venue in May 2025 following a competitive procurement process.

“This is a great day for OLG, our partners at Caesars and the City of Windsor,” said OLG president and chief executive, Duncan Hannay. “The agreement we’ve signed will see our partnership with Caesars continue for many years to come. It’s a partnership that has benefitted the community and local economy in countless ways and we’re thrilled to continue our contribution together.”

Under the new agreement, the City of Windsor will continue to benefit from payments as a gaming host community, having received more than CA$138 million from OLG since the casino opened in May 1994 as Ontario’s first casino.

“We are proud to continue bringing the iconic Caesars brand to life here in Windsor,” said Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment. “For more than three decades, this Resort has been a cornerstone of the region’s tourism economy, and for the past 18 years it has proudly carried the Caesars name. We look forward to building on that legacy by delivering the world‑class hospitality, entertainment, and service our guests expect from Caesars.”

Shares in Caesars Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ:CZR) closed 2.16 per cent higher at $25.56 per share in New York Wednesday.
