The company’s Board of Directors has decided to make the change in order to further align with the group’s strategic direction
Hacksaw has begun a search for a new group chief executive to replace Christoffer Källberg, with Board Member Ana Vrabic Verdir stepping in as interim CEO.
The company’s Board confirmed Thursday that it has decided to release Källberg from his duties after making a “careful and thorough” review of the current leadership.
The Board concluded that it was appropriate to make a change of the group CEO in order to further align with the company’s strategic direction.
Källberg has been group CEO since January 2025, and will be replaced on an interim basis by Verdir, who has served as a Board Member since 2024.
“I would like to thank Christoffer for successfully having led the company´s IPO on the large cap list on Nasdaq Stockholm in June last year and for his valuable contributions thereafter with a solid financial performance,” said Hacksaw chairman Patrick Svensk. “I wish him all the best for the future.”
The Board emphasized that the strategy for the group “remains firm and is confident of the group’s performance and outlook.”
Hacksaw has initiated a comprehensive search process for the recruitment of a permanent group CEO, with the experience and leadership capabilities to deliver on the group’s long-term strategy.
During her term as interim group CEO, Verdir will not be considered independent to Hacksaw and its management, and will furthermore no longer be part of the Remuneration Committee of Hacksaw.
Earlier this week, Hacksaw reported a 28 per cent increase in revenue to €57.6 million for the first quarter of 2026, with profit for the period up by 51 per cent at €45.5 million.
Shares in Hacksaw AB (STO:HACK) were trading marginally 0.59 per cent higher at SEK84.80 per share in Stockholm earlier Thursday.
