Gentoo is searching for a new chief financial officer to replace Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen, who departs after just one year in the role
Gentoo Media has begun the process to hire a new chief financial officer (CFO) following the resignation of Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen.
Albrechtsen is leaving the company after 14 months in the role, having joined the Stockholm-listed iGaming affiliate in March 2025.
“We would like to thank Mads for his dedication and collaboration during a period of significant change for Gentoo Media,” said CEO Jonas Warrer. “Mads has played an important role in the transformation initiated in 2025, including strengthening financial processes, supporting the company’s strategic realignment and helping build a leaner and more focused organisation.
“As Gentoo Media now enters its next phase, we are maintaining a constructive dialogue regarding the upcoming transition and share a common commitment to ensuring a stable and responsible handover for the benefit of the company, its employees and other stakeholders.”
Commenting on his departure, Albrechtsen said: “I am grateful for the time I have spent at Gentoo Media and look forward to contributing to a smooth transition during the coming period.”
No reason was given for Albrechtsen resignation.
Shares in Gentoo Media Inc (STO:G2M) were trading 2.29 per cent lower at SEK5.54 per share in Stockholm Friday morning.
