Lucky player takes home AED 30 million and becomes only the second Grand Prize winner since lottery’s inception
The UAE Lottery has awarded its second Grand Prize win to a Nepalese player who won AED 30 million (approx. €7 million).
The Grand Prize win came in the lottery’s Lucky Day draw game and follows the AED 100 million milestone jackpot win in October 2025.
Tayab Khan, a Nepalese resident of Abu Dhabi, has become the lottery’s newest multi-millionaire after selecting seven lucky picks that matched the full set of winning numbers.
Speaking on the win, Khan said: “I’m feeling absolutely amazing, like I’m in the sky. I selected the numbers randomly and wasn’t even watching the draw. When I found out through my email later, it was a fantastic feeling.”
A spokesperson for The UAE Lottery commented: “This represents an important moment for the Lucky Day draw, as it delivers its second Grand Prize winner since the AED 100 million jackpot, following two AED 5 million winners.
“Our twice-weekly draws reflect our continued commitment to giving back to the community through meaningful prize opportunities. We congratulate the winner and remain focused on maintaining a secure and transparent experience for all participants.”
Lucky Day draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:30pm, offering players the chance to win the AED 30 million Grand Prize, the AED 5 million Second Prize, and three guaranteed AED 50,000 Lucky Chance prizes in each draw.
