Multi-channel deal will see Kambi power the Canadian operator’s online and retail sports betting operations

Kambi Group is entering Alberta’s regulated gambling market with a multi-year agreement to serve as the technology partner of leading casino operator Pure Casino Entertainment.

Kambi will provide its turnkey sportsbook to support Pure Casino’s retail sports betting operations across multiple properties, including locations in Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge, as well as launching online sports betting under the PureCasino.ca brand.

“We are delighted to be growing our footprint in an important region for Kambi with a partner with the heritage and expertise of Pure Casino Entertainment,” said Kambi Group CEO Werner Becher. “They share our commitment to deep and engaging sports betting experiences, and we look forward to delivering on this partnership’s potential for their customers throughout Alberta.”

The partnership contains scope to expand to further properties across the province, following Pure Casino’s recent acquisition of three casino locations from Gamehost.

“As we prepared for the launch of Alberta’s regulated online market we knew selecting a sports betting partner that could offer the right combination of product quality and regulatory certainty was paramount,” said Pure Casino Entertainment CEO Brad Belhouse. “Kambi’s proven track record made them the clear choice, and we are excited to capitalise on the sports betting opportunity online and across our Alberta casinos.”

Alberta’s regulated betting and gaming market will open on 13 July.

Shares in Kambi Group plc (STO:KAMBI) were trading 0.63 per cent higher at SEK160.60 per share in Stockholm Tuesday morning.
