Latest deals continue Veikkaus subsidiary’s expansion across regulated markets worldwide
Fennica Gaming has secured a string of deals to launch its content in Italy with Brightstar Lottery, in Ontario with Betty Gaming, and in the Netherlands with Gaming1’s Circus.nl.
In a landmark deal, Fennica has launched its eInstant game portfolio with Brightstar Lottery, including distribution through Italy’s exclusive instant lottery concession and across Brightstar’s network of licensed operators.
“Being selected as the first external and international partner to integrate with Brightstar Lottery’s platform is a true honour for us,” said Fennica Gaming chairman Jonas Reuter. “We are thrilled that Brightstar chose Fennica Gaming as their first international content partner. It is a strong recognition of the quality and performance of our games. We are confident that our portfolio – built on decades of lottery expertise and continuous innovation – offers one of the best and most competitive eInstant offerings available on the market today.”
Alessandro Paciucci, CEO of Lotterie Nazionali – Brightstar Lottery, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Fennica Gaming to our content ecosystem and to introduce their eInstant portfolio to Italian players. Fennica Gaming brings a unique combination of Nordic lottery expertise, innovation and solid game performance.
“Their content perfectly complements our existing portfolio and supports our ambition to offer Italian operators and players a diverse, engaging and responsible entertainment experience. We look forward to a long and successful partnership and to further expanding the range of high-quality digital lottery content available across our network.”
Fennica has also strengthened its North American footprint this week after launching its games in Ontario for the first time with Betty Gaming.
“Our expansion into Ontario, Canada is an important milestone in Fennica Gaming’s broader market expansion strategy. In the first phase we received a B2B license in Ontario, and now we are proud and happy to see the first go-live in Ontario,” said Fennica Gaming senior vice president Joni Hovi. “This is a market that values high-quality, responsible entertainment, and we believe our Nordic by Nature games will resonate very well with local players.”
Betty Gaming senior casino operations manager Paraskeva Smirnova added: “I met with the Fennicans at an industry event and immediately loved the themes and the quality of Fennica’s games. They have many themes that fit perfectly for the Canadian markets.
“We agreed on the best timeline to launch the games, and the collaboration has been excellent and inspiring from the very beginning. We expect to launch many more Nordic-born games together and believe that Fennica Gaming’s content will be a strong addition to our offering for players in Ontario.”
Fennica has also launched its games in the Netherlands with Gaming1’s Circus.nl brand.
“The launch in the Netherlands gives us an incredible opportunity to better understand how our games perform and how players engage with different game experiences in a regulated environment,” said Fennica Gaming sales manager Joonas Tirkkonen. “Together with Gaming1, we look forward to analysing performance insights that will help us continuously improve the quality and diversity of our portfolio.
“These learnings are invaluable and are channelled directly back to our game development teams, enabling them to create engaging experiences while meeting the expectations of regulated markets.”
Essi Ora, head of games at Gaming1, added: “Partnering with Fennica Gaming has been a breath of fresh air. It’s rare to find a studio that combines creativity with such an agile and collaborative approach. We are thrilled to introduce their unique Nordic-born games to the Dutch players on Circus.nl and expect this mutual journey to be a great success. We look forward to building this partnership together and delivering engaging experiences to our Dutch players in a responsible and sustainable way.”
