Martin Zetterlund takes on the role until a permanent chief technology officer is appointed
Catena Media has appointed Martin Zetterlund as interim chief technology officer (CTO), while the company seeks to recruit a permanent CTO.
Zetterlund will lead the group’s technology function, replacing Edward Midolo, who has held the role for the past two years.
A member of Catena Media’s board of directors since December 2024, Zetterlund is an experienced Stockholm-based entrepreneur, investor and executive with specialist expertise in cybersecurity and managed security services.
He co-founded Sentor Managed Security Services in 1998, serving in various leadership roles until the company’s acquisition by Accenture in 2021. He also founded ScrapeSentry and served as senior vice president of advanced projects at Distil Networks.
He will remain on the Catena board during the assignment, which is being carried out under a consultancy agreement and runs until a permanent chief technology officer takes up the role.
“Martin has followed our technology work closely from the board and knows the organisation well,” said Catena Media CEO Manuel Stan. “His experience of building and running technology businesses will support the team while we complete the recruitment of a permanent CTO.”
The recruitment process for a permanent CTO is ongoing.
Catena Media is planning to move beyond traditional affiliation and lead generation to a technical infrastructure platform provider connecting publishers and advertisers across a wider set of verticals.
Shares in Catena Media plc (STO:CTM) were trading marginally higher at SEK2.96 per share in Stockholm Friday morning.
