Isle of Man-based supplier Microgaming has renewed its exclusive licensing agreement with rights holder Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc to develop a second Tarzan-branded online slot.
Microgaming first partnered with Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc, which holds the rights to the author’s works, in 2016 to produce a Tarzan-branded slot to coincide with the release of The Legend of Tarzan film.
Set to be unveiled at ICE London this week, the second game is being developed by Fortune Factory Studios and will be released later this year exclusively via Microgaming’s platform.
“We are excited to extend our brand partnership with Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc to create the next iteration of Tarzan, a timeless character and brand with worldwide appeal,” said Microgaming chief commercial officer Jean-Luc Ferriere.
“The upcoming game from Fortune Factory Studios will be one of several new branded slots to launch on Microgaming’s platform this year as we continue to diversify, extend and refresh our content offering.”
Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc president James Sullos commented: “Our extended deal with Microgaming will see the creation and launch of a new Tarzan game, which we are confident will build on the character’s successful first outing with the renowned supplier.
“We look forward to working with Microgaming and are excited to see the game come to fruition.”
