A new report commissioned by the UK Gambling Commission has shown that gambling participation rates have remained static over the past six years, despite a significant increase in remote gambling participation during the period.

The report showed that gambling participation in the UK had remained fairly static over the last six years, with 53 per cent of respondents stating that they had gambled in the past four weeks in the year to December 2014 – two percentage points lower than in the year to June 2009.
