Ladbrokes has completed the examinership process for its Irish trading subsidiaries after the country’s High Court approved a rescue plan that will see the majority of its employees retained and the bookmaker maintain operation of 144 shops across Ireland.

A plan put forward by the operator’s examiner, the Irish equivalent of an administrator, will see the operator maintain a total of 144 shops across Ireland, down from the 196 Ladbrokes had at the beginning of the process in April this year. It can exit from court protection on Friday.
