Gaming hardware and software supplier Vermantia has agreed one of its most significant deals to date, signing an agreement to supply its retail content management solution to Lottomatica, the Italy-facing B2C subsidiary of International Game Technology (IGT).

Vermantia will migrate its retail content management onto Lottomatica’s retail broadcast services and point of sale technology for its estate of more than 1,000 betting shops and kiosks across Italy.

The deal will also see Lottomatica gain access to Vermantia’s content portfolio, including live sports and virtual games services, through its CONNECT solution.

This will see Vermantia broadcast and operate three bespoke gaming channels for Lottomatica’s retail network; a live sports channel, featuring more than 6,000 live sports events per year with real-time data and statistics supplied by Perform Group, alongside two virtual sports channels via the supplier’s partnership with Inspired Gaming.

The initial phase, as well as any future channels to be rolled out, will be delivered to Lottomatica’s retail network via Vermantia’s fourth-generation decoder technology and its satellite encryption and delivery solution.

Lottomatica will be offered both innovative gaming content, as well as a scalable and flexible content distribution solution, guaranteeing the delivery of high quality products to players, Vermantia said.
