New York-listed betting and gaming supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has lauded the newly launched DraftKings retail sportsbook in Mississippi, which operates on its PlayShot platform.

DraftKings opened its first retail sportsbook on Friday at the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, powered by IGT's PlayShot sports betting platform, offering customers pre-match and in-play sports wagering over the counter.

Pending regulatory approval, the casino will deploy additional IGT sports betting peripherals, including kiosks and mobile technology, as the state’s sports betting market evolves.

Shares in International Game Technology plc (NYQ:IGT) closed down 1.09 per cent at $15.44 per share in New York Monday.
