Stockholm-listed sports betting solutions provider Kambi has launched a second on-property sportsbook for its partner Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment in Pennsylvania.
Having rolled out a sportsbook for Parx Casino earlier this month, Kambi officially launched sports betting at South Philadelphia Turf Club late last week following two days of testing by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
The Turf Club is an off-track betting operator located near the Lincoln Financial Field and Stadium, where current Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles play. It is also close to the Wachovia Complex, home to NHL team the Flyers and NBA team the 76ers, while The Citizen's Bank Field, home to MLB club Phillies, is located next door.
The Kambi Sportsbook will complement the Turf Club’s current horse racing product, with the 27,000 square foot property featuring additional TV screens for live sports, modern digital signage, seven teller windows and nine sports betting kiosks.
The launch also expands Kambi’s presence in Pennsylvania, where it now powers four of the states’ five on-property sportsbooks.
“The prime location of the South Philadelphia Turf Club offers Kambi a unique platform to reach some of Philadelphia’s most passionate sports fans who when going to support their teams also want some skin in the game,” said Kambi chief commercial officer Max Meltzer.
“Today’s successful launch provides further evidence of Kambi’s ability to deliver for its partners both online and on-property in a short space of time, making us the trusted choice for those looking to leverage their strong brand and provide their customers with high-quality sports betting experiences.”
Kambi also confirmed that it will launch a Parx-branded online sportsbook as soon as the PGCB decides to permit mobile betting in the state.
In the meantime, players can use the Parx Betslip Builder mobile app, which uses Kambi’s Bring Your Own Device technology to allow players to view odds and create bet slips anywhere within the state. The app generates QR codes which can then be scanned for quick and easy bet placement at either the Parx Casino or Turf Club.
Shares in Kambi Group plc (STO:KAMBI) were trading up 1.24 per cent at SEK196.40 per share in Stockholm Monday morning.
