UK National Lottery sales hit record high of £6.53bn

UK National Lottery operator Camelot has recorded a 12.1 per cent year-on-year increase in lottery sales for the year ended March 31st, helping it to achieve its target of raising £750m (US$1.18bn) for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The world’s seventh largest lottery saw sales of National Lottery products reach £6.53bn ($10.3bn) for the year, despite the challenging economic environment, with return to players reaching an all time high of £3.39bn ($5.36bn).
