Asia Pacific region tops global lotteries growth in H1

Worldwide lotteries recorded robust growth for the first half of 2012 with overall sales increasing 10.7 per cent year-on-year, according to latest figures released by the World Lottery Association.

The World Lottery Association (WLA), the umbrella organisation for state lottery and gaming operators, said it was a strong overall performance by lotteries worldwide, with growth across all regions.

Europe and Latin America were the only regions not to post double digit growth during the period.
