Sweden’s gambling market has seen turnover decrease for the third year in a row according to figures released by the country’s gaming regulator Lotteriinspektionen.
Gross turnover for 2013 declined 0.3 per cent year-on-year to SEK46.8bn (€5.5bn), generating SEK17.3bn in sales after winnings were paid out. Unlicensed operators, on the other hand, saw their market share grow over the course of the year, with total turnover up 2 per cent to SEK2.3bn.
