Online betting and gaming operator Betfair has reported a 30 per cent increase in net gaming revenue to £117.3m for its first quarter ended July 31st, buoyed by a strong performance during the World Cup and continued momentum from its growing mobile channel.
As well as the World Cup, Betfair said that its record quarterly performance benefited from favourable sporting results, an improved gaming performance and continued growth in its US operations.
