China’s lottery market generated total sales of RMB382.4bn (€53.8bn) during 2014, an increase of 24 per cent versus the previous year, following strong performance from both the Welfare and Sports lotteries.
Sales from the Sports Lottery increased by 33 per cent to RMB176.4bn during the year, according to data released by China’s Ministry of Finance, with Welfare Lottery sales climbing 17 per cent to RMB206.0bn.
