First-of-its-kind agreement sees the 76ers become the first NBA team to announce an official prediction market partner
Kalshi has agreed a multi-year deal to become an official prediction market partner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.
The agreement makes the 76ers the first NBA team to announce an official prediction market partner, and follows the NBA’s league-wide prediction market partnership with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Kalshi and Polymarket last week.
The 76ers and Kalshi will create new content, experiences and integrations that bring fans closer to the team and the biggest moments of the season.
Kalshi will serve as the presenting partner of Sixers Posters, a digital art series that showcases original work from artists and creatives connected to Philadelphia, and will also present Beat the Pro, a season-long fan engagement platform culminating in an on-court experience where selected fans can compete against a 76ers legend or personality for the chance to win $76,000.
“With Kalshi’s new league-wide relationship with the NBA, we saw an opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind team partnership focused on delivering new content, creativity and engagement for 76ers fans,” said Owen Morin, chief revenue officer of partnerships for the Philadelphia 76ers. “As we embark on a new season with palpable buzz and anticipation surrounding our team, we’re excited to work with Kalshi to create new, fun experiences for our fans.”
As an official partner of the 76ers, Kalshi will benefit from in-arena visibility, creative social content such as Top Plays of the Month fan voting, and integrations across the 76ers app, mobile ticketing, and team-owned digital platforms.
“As we build our relationship with the NBA, we couldn’t be more excited to have the 76ers as our first announced team partner,” said Adam Barrick, head of sports partnerships for Kalshi. “It’s an exciting time for the 76ers franchise, with one of the most passionate fan bases in sports behind it.
“We look forward to working together in creating a new, innovative and safe way for Philadelphia 76ers fans to engage with the team and players they love.”
