Increased gaming duties cause 22% fall in William Hill profit

William Hill

William Hill has reported that gambling duties of around £87m caused the business to post a 22 per cent year-on-year decline in operating profit for 2015.

Net revenue for the year declined 1 per cent to £1,590.9m, with modest Online growth cancelled out by declines in the company’s Retail and Australia businesses.
