Spain’s iGaming market has seen gross gaming revenue increase by a third in the first quarter of 2016, driven by strong growth in sports betting and a doubling in casino revenue following the regulation of online slots.
Quarterly gross gaming revenue (GGR) grew 32.15 per cent year-on-year to €102.32m, also representing a 7.97 per cent increase on the final quarter of 2015, the country’s gambling regulator La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) revealed.
