Greece introduces flat iGaming tax rate in latest round of austerity measures

Greece’s parliament has approved a further round of tax hikes in order to unlock the next tranche of its European Union bailout loan, including a new flat tax on all online gambling products.

With the government looking to raise an additional €1.5bn in tax revenue, the variable tax rate for internet gambling products, currently between 30 and 35 per cent of gross gaming revenue, is to be replaced by a single 35 [...]
