Denmark’s regulated gaming market has recorded strong growth from its sports betting and casino products during the first quarter of 2016, with online operations accounting for 78 per cent of the total.
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) for sports betting and casino increased to a combined DKK975m (€131m) during Q1, up 30 per cent compared to a year ago, with sports betting GGR up 33 per cent to DKK585m, according to results published by Denmark’s gaming regulator Spillemyndigheden.
