French iGaming regulator ARJEL has revealed that the country’s twelve licensed operators generated turnover of €33.9m during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, with tennis the most popular sport for bettors.
Operators saw betting turnover climb 77 per cent compared to the London 2012 Olympics, with live betting representing 50 per cent of the total.
