Casual gaming drives Churchill Downs revenue growth in Q3

US racetrack and casino operator Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has reported an 8 per cent rise in net revenue for the third quarter, with casual and mid-core free-to-play games emerging as a key growth driver.

CDI's third quarter net revenue climbed 8 per cent year-on-year to USD$303.4m, although adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 7 per cent to $67.3m following a drop in earnings from the Big Fish Games division.
