The Swedish gambling market grew by 3 per cent in the first nine months of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago, with online gaming accounting for virtually all of the growth.
Sweden's gross gaming revenue (GGR) in the nine-month period amounted to SEK16.56bn (€1.66bn), with state-controlled operator Svenska Spel holding a 39 per cent market share with GGR of SEK6.5bn, down 1 per cent year-on-year.
