Shares in Unibet climbed more than 5 per cent in Stockholm this morning after the Swedish gaming operator revealed that net profit for the first quarter of 2016 had doubled on the back of a 61 per cent increase in revenue during the period.

Gross winnings revenue reached a record £122.4m for the quarter, with the newly acquired Stan James Online and iGame Group businesses contributing £12.8m.
