Canada’s Amaya has reported a 6 per cent increase in revenue to US$288.7m for the first quarter of 2016, despite seeing real-money poker revenue decline by 10 per cent compared to the previous year.

The company said that revenue would have risen by 14 per cent excluding the impact of year-on-year changes in foreign exchange rates. Amaya has now changed its presentation currency from the Canadian dollar to the US dollar to reduce this impact in future.
