France’s regulated iGaming market saw gross gaming revenue (GGR) increase by 11 per cent to €199m during the second quarter of 2016, following a strong performance from the sports betting vertical which posted record turnover during the period.

Growth in sports betting helped to offset year-on-year declines in both horse race betting and online poker, with GGR up by 45 per cent to €91m in Q2.
