Gambling tax revenue rises to €529m in the Netherlands

The Netherlands government took in €529m in gambling taxes in 2018, an increase of 12.5 per cent year-on-year, as total market net gaming revenue grew by 2.5 per cent to €2,059.0m.

The figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) show that the lotteries and games of chance industry grew in line with GDP last year at 2.5 per cent, accounting for approximately 0.2 per cent of GDP.
