New York-listed Inspired Entertainment has reported a 10.1 per cent fall in revenue for the first quarter of 2019, as growth in Virtual Sports failed to offset lower Server Based Gaming revenue.

Total revenue in the first quarter amounted to $33.67m following a 3.3 per cent year-on-year increase in Virtual Sports revenue to $9.98m, offset by a 14.7 per cent decline in Server Based Gaming (SBG) revenue to $23.69m.

The company attributed the lower revenue to adverse currency movements of $2.5m and a reduction in non-recurring software licenses and nil margin sales of hardware.
