Rank Group’s plans to acquire Gala Casinos this year have been dealt a blow after the UK’s Office of Fair Trading (OFT) yesterday referred the deal to the Competition Commission for further investigation.
Rank had expected to complete the £205m acquisition of Gala Coral’s 23 casinos by the end of September following the signing of a conditional agreement back in May.
