London-listed gaming operators Rank Group and 888 Holdings have formed a consortium for the purpose of acquiring William Hill plc. in a deal worth an estimated £3bn.
The management of Rank and 888 have confirmed that they see “significant industrial logic in the combination,” which would allow the partners to consolidate complementary online and land-based operations.
This in turn could deliver substantial revenue and cost synergies, as well as allowing all parties to benefit from economies of scale.
