CMA raises local competition concerns over Novomatic’s Talarius acquisition

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has warned Novomatic that it may face an in-depth investigation over competition concerns arising from the company’s recent acquisition of land-based gaming operator Talarius.

Novomatic purchased UK-facing Talarius from Tatts Group in June for AUD$210m (£111m), taking over operation of 169 adult gaming centres under the Quiksilver brand.
