Lithuania’s licensed gambling operators posted a 49 per cent fall in total turnover to €166.9m in 2020, as restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted both land-based and online operations.
The pandemic led to the Lithuanian government shuttering all land-based activities between 22 March to 9 June 2020, and again from 9 November to 31 December. It also suspended all online gaming activities between 8 April and 9 June.
