Illinois’ regulated sports betting market posted a decline for the second consecutive month as total wagers fell to $507.3m in May.
Wagers at the state’s nine operational sportsbooks were down by 6 per cent compared to the previous month’s $537.2m, with online wagers accounting for $482.5m and retail contributing $24.8m.
A total of $505.8m was wagered on professional sports, with $0.5m bet on college sports and a further $1.0m on motor races.
