Maryland’s newly regulated retail sports betting market collected total wagers of $16.6m in the first month of operation in December.
Sports betting went live in the state on 9 December, with Governor Larry Hogan placing Maryland’s first bet at MGM National Harbor, the first casino to launch a retail sportsbook.
