Gambling taxes in Germany fell by 3 per cent to €576.5 million in the third quarter of 2023, the lowest quarterly figure for two years.
Sports betting tax increased by 81 per cent year-on-year to €96.7 million and lottery tax was up by 1 per cent to €414.8 million.
This was offset, however, by declines in tax revenue from other gambling sectors.
