Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has revealed that the state’s newly regulated sports betting market has generated nearly $250 million in wagers since launch.
Since wagering opened at the state’s nine operational in-person retail sportsbooks on Thursday 7 September, more than $15.7 million has been wagered.
Wagering via mobile devices went live on Thursday 28 September, with more than $232.3 million wagered through mobile devices across seven live operators, and nearly 500,000 mobile wagering accounts created.
